Let’s be real: a beautiful website simply isn’t enough; it needs to work. When you run a small business (especially as a photographer), your site needs to book clients while you’re out documenting love stories, hiking elopement trails, or editing late-night galleries over ramen.
At Inkpot Creative, we create strategic, standout websites on Showit for photographers who want their online home to match the magic they create offline.
Here’s a peek behind the curtain at some recent projects that show how small business web design can be both smart and stunning!
Small Business Web Design That Works: 9 Real Photographer Sites We’ve Built on Showit
Olivia Yuen Photo
New Orleans-based photographer Olivia Yuen transitioned from hobbyist to full-time pro. A passion for storytelling and entrepreneurship drives her. Her work focuses on emotionally rich imagery that captures real, meaningful moments.
Together, we created a website that was built on Showit with tasteful movement, sticky scrolls, and strategic pacing. One of our favorite parts of Olivia’s website is that the design feels both elevated and full of personality, and it’s luxurious without feeling stiff.
Olivia also has a bold but soft brand aesthetic, which showcases artistry and strength – we also made sure this was infused throughout their entire website.

Brase Images
Brase Images is a Sioux Falls-based husband-and-wife team. Their approach is very human-focused with images that capture laughter, candid moments, and real emotion. We wanted to build a website for them that is warm, grounded, and welcoming.
When building their website on Showit, we made sure that there was a smooth scroll flow, clear copy hierarchy, and lots of personality in the image selection.
Brase Images is a great example of how strong branding can support a client-first, relationship-focused brand. Their website design supports their goal of making clients feel at ease throughout the whole experience.

Katelyn Faye Photography
Katelyn Faye is a Las Vegas-based elopement and wedding photographer. Her vibe is fun, casual, and approachable. She turns weddings into low-stress, joy-filled experiences. Furthermore, she’s well-known for being both professional and super down-to-earth.
Knowing all of this, when building her website, we created a color palette and fonts that match her personality: playful but polished.
On her site, we also added fun movement, candid layout shifts, and a focus on her casual but confident copy. Katelyn’s website is a perfect example of how your design doesn’t have to feel “serious” to still be strategic and convert new leads into clients.

Please Don’t Blink
Please Don’t Blink is based in Pennsylvania and owned and operated by Aimee, who is a wedding photographer ready to capture your love story in a way that’s authentic, adventurous, and totally you.
Aimee shifted from traditional weddings to specializing in intimate and adventure elopements. She knew she wanted her new brand and website to speak to clients who don’t want a cookie-cutter wedding or a generic photographer. We made the focus of her new brand all about being low-pressure, personal, and joy-centered.
Aimee’s Showit site showcases her storytelling, colorful photography style, and approachable vibe. It also includes a clear client journey, interactive experience, and offbeat visual touches.

Simone Schiess Photography
Simone Schiess is a Colorado-based lifestyle photographer. Before working with us, she had an existing brand and site that she told us just didn’t feel like her. When creating her new site and brand, she told us that she wanted something that reflected her growth, maturity, and depth as an artist.
For her Showit site, we focused on creating a visual system that felt custom, artistic, and clean. We built a customized website that uses a warm but minimalist design, intentional negative space, and subtle transitions to help Simone’s new site feel like a perfect reflection of who she is now.

Andrea Camar Photo + Film
Andrea Camara Photo + Film is based in Arizona, and she works with adventurous and deeply connected couples. Her work combines emotion and environment, often shot in nature or intimate settings.
Andrea’s website is a great example of personal brand energy turned into a site that feels alive, as her website design balances emotional storytelling with visual flow.
When building her website on Showit, we added in lots of layered design, big visuals, and a rich, moody palette with a strategy focused on showing the feeling of her images through layout, typography, and texture.

Emily Chastain Photography
Emily Chastain Photography is based in the Washington, DC / Baltimore area and is a woman and queer-owned business. Their services include weddings, families, headshots, and corporate.
Emily is known for her light-hearted, photojournalistic style and easy-to-navigate client experience. When building Emily’s website, we wanted to create a clean layout, a clear site map, and a modern editorial feel with an inclusive, professional, and warm and welcoming brand, just like Emily’s entire approach.

Katie MacDonald Photography
Katie MacDonald Photography is based in Pennsylvania. Something that makes Katie special is that she works with clients long-term – maternity, family, milestones – not just one-time sessions. She’s introverted, so her brand leans into comfort, calmness, and building trust.
When building Katie’s site, we prioritized ease of use and showcased her approachable, low-pressure energy. We also created a Showit site designed with soothing blues and plenty of soft, flowing movement. Her site exemplifies brand-aligned web design for photographers who lead with empathy.

The Combs Creative
The Combs Creative is a husband-and-wife team focused on photography and videography. Their entire brand is built around the Lover and Hero archetypes and is about deeply intentional storytelling and stylish visuals with a touch of luxury.
For The Combs Creative, we created a Showit site design that brings a romantic, slightly destination-inspired feel (think Amalfi Coast vibes) by adding elegant fonts, warm tones, and bold imagery, positioning them as high-end without being out of reach.

Why These Designs Work (And Why Strategy Matters)
These small business website examples aren’t just pretty – they’re intentional, strategic tools designed to reflect the heart of the business while seamlessly guiding leads to the next step to either inquire or book.
Because small business web design isn’t about fluff, it’s about functionality that feels like you, which is exactly what these examples showcase. All of these websites were built on Showit, customized to the core, and made to convert.
Remember, your website is often the very first experience a future client will have with your brand after finding your socials, and a well-designed website will build trust, communicate your value, and make choosing to book with you an EASY decision.
